Violet - Lyons Silk Scarf

Part of the LYONS by Leisl Collection, this scarf features a tapestry of a walled garden. Artwork completed by Margaret Peel (née Lyons).

A walk through the most beautiful garden in England. This scarf reproduces in exquisite, detail a masterwork of hand embroidery stitched in silk thread. A sweeping herbaceous border path in the height of summer, flanked on both sides by the most lavish planting imaginable. To the left, a weeping silver pear and a slender Italian cypress preside over a riot of cottage garden colour — poppies in vivid orange, lavender spires, blowsy pink roses, silvery artemisia, and tumbling ground cover in every shade of green. To the right, more borders overflow with burnt orange dahlias, mauve asters, golden rudbeckia, and dusty blue agapanthus, drawing the eye down a gravel path that disappears towards a stone gate and a distant sea view beyond. The sky above is stitched in long horizontal strokes of cream, ash, and pale teal. All framed in the softest lavender border.
